Under the headline "Government programme, Kabila - Gizenga: the first hitch," Le Potentiel wonders which program will be presented to the National Assembly: "Is it President Kabila's roadmap disclosed on 6 December or the future Prime Minister's program?"
Highlighting that this is time for concrete actions, La Tempête des Tropiques believes, "Joseph Kabila must clean his entourage for a genuine change cannot be secured if we do not put an end to impunity, which is in the best interest of President Kabila."
L'Observateur echoes recent news conference held in Kinshasa by the European Force on Thursday 7 December and MONUC, respectively represented by the UN Special Representative for the DRC, Mr. William Lacy Swing and Aldo Ajello, the European Union's Special Representative for the Great Lakes region; the paper quotes the latter as declaring: "We are prepared to provide support to President Joseph Kabila."
Under the headline: "Eufor is leaving and Europe remaining," Le Phare reports, "Aldo Ajello promised the European Union will form a republican army so there will be no single No man's land in DRC." In other developments, the paper says, "Catholic Bishops have appealed to all the Congolese people to help rebuild a new Congo."
