Report on the human rights situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (January-June 2007)

The human rights situation in the DRC during the period covered by this report (January-June 2007) continued to be cause for grave concern. Serious human rights violations such as arbitrary executions, rape, torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment continued to be steadily committed mostly by the army and police.
