UNOCA promotes a regional approach in Central Africa that supports peace and security, strengthens institutions, and mobilizes cooperation to address political, humanitarian, and development challenges across the subregion.

The United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA) advances political dialogue, conflict prevention, and mediation efforts, working closely with the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), national authorities, and local partners. It also responds to cross-border threats, including armed groups, maritime insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea, and climate-related security risks, while fostering long-term stability and regional cooperation in Central Africa.
