Before leaving Kinshasa, the UN senior member and head of the peacekeeping operations is to inaugurate a stele erected in memory of all the fallen peacekeepers since the establishment of the UN Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo in November 1999. The monument is in MONUC headquarters in Kinshasa.
