UN Security Council's visit is the dominant news in today's local press.
"UN Security Council due to arrive in DRC today to address security, democracy and human rights issues in DRC," reports Le Phare, further indicating, "DRC Government must take tough actions to protect journalists."

Le Palmarès, for its part comments on the last tribute paid to Serges Maheshe (Radio Okapi journalist) at MONUC headquarters in Kinshasa yesterday, depicting "the intense emotions that characterized the entire memorial service."

Le Phare further reports that "a Radio Okapi journalist harassed by provincial authorities in Kasaï occidental was hurriedly flown by MONUC aircraft to Kinshasa from Kananga yesterday."

In other news, Le Palmarès writes, "President Kabila has cancelled his visit to Libreville due to reasons relating to internal policy."
