Jean-Pierre Bemba's case once again features on top of the news in today's local press.
"Jean-Pierre Bemba wants to go on trial as a free man," reports Le Palmarès, indicating, "the latter recalled the accusation document in the hands of the International Criminal Court came from the current Government of Central African Republic."
L'Avenir, as far as concerned, reports "UN has dropped JP Bemba who has no chance to make any appeal against the court's move."
Le Palmarès goes on to report, "Laurent Nkunda is opposed to the extradition of Bosco Ntaganda, the chief of staff of the National Congress for the People (CNDP) who was issued with a warrant of arrest by the International Criminal Court."

La Tempête des Tropiques, for its part, highlights, "over one million displaced persons cut from any help in the North Kivu." In this respect, the paper writes, "Members of the UN Security Council delegation and the French State Secretary for foreign affairs witnessed this situation there."

In other news, Le Phare maintains, "the population of Kinshasa were not at all impressed by the Chinese equipment exhibited across the city."

The headlines in Le Phare read: "Arabs come in after the Chinese." "President Kabila launched the construction work of a hotel facility in Kinshasa, funded by an Arab firm known as the Rakeen."

La Tempête des Tropiques denounces "attempts by the presidential majority AMP to dismiss the Parliament spokesperson, Vital Kamerhe."

Le Phare reports "brutal expulsion of Congolese people living in the Angolan mining areas by the Angolan Government."
